Instrumentation and Control Engineering

Our instrumentation and control engineering division comprises a team of highly experienced engineers and designers. Our capabilities include developing philosophies, studies, calculations, detailed engineering, procurement engineering, subcontractor management, detailed design/modeling for both offshore and onshore energy sector projects.

Our core strengths are:

  • Development of design basis, philosophies, scope of work.
  • Studies / workshop involving SIL (assessment / verification / validation), AMHAZ, CHAZOP, F&G performance.
  • Calculations for all detailed engineering activities like utility calculation, adequacy verifications, control valve, PSV, Orifice, IS Loop calculations and so on.
  • Developing key detailed engineering documents like specifications, data sheets, control narratives, Instrument index, I/O list, cable schedule, interconnection diagrams, loop diagrams, hook up diagrams MTOs and so on.
  • Database management using SPI/AVEVA Instrumentation
  • Experience with critical control systems like ICSS (DCS / ESD / F&G), PLC, SCADA, HIPPS, RTU, etc. Also experience in high-end solutions like SOE, AMS, ALMS, NMS, Historians, business network interface, cyber security, MMS and so on.
  • Experience with various instrument packages like Metering, HSSS, Analyzers, MPFM and so on.
  • Various instrumentation valves like Choke valves, SDVs, Control Valves, MOVs etc.
  • Field instrumentation like flow, temperature, level, pressure, F&G detectors and devices.
  • Interface with mechanical packages, electrical systems, telecommunication systems, building subcontractors and engineering consultants.
  • Brownfield engineering activities which include site visits, adequacy checks, tie-ins, integration with existing systems and downtime optimization.
  • Procurement support MR / TBE / vendor document review/inspection support (FAT).
  • 3D modeling (E3D / PDS / PDMS), model reviews, engineering layout drawings (equipment layout, cable routing layout), system architecture drawings, block diagrams, installation standard details etc.
  • Experience of constructability review with offshore installation team, engineering support to construction/commissioning, as-built preparation and so on.
